Summary of principal Rules

  • a Practising lawyer must witness online and sign last, as the certifier
  • the electronic format needs to be retained and saved as metadata on a storage device (usb) and held with a printed esigned version of the Will
  • all parties must be in Victoria and sign that day and see the Will maker sign what they believe and understand to be the Will and that he understands what he or she is doing, witnesses can sign later in that day, witnesses may be present with the Will maker
  • recording of the audio visual meeting is optional
